JFK MS Attendance Policy

Students are expected to be in school and ready to learn every day. Our doors open at 8:00 AM. Students taking the bus or walking arrive through our front doors and students who are dropped off arrive through our back entrance. 

Tardy/Late Arrival 
A student is tardy if they arrive to class after 8:08 AM. Students arriving late to school should enter through the middle school entrance and receive a late pass at the main office. A note, signed by parent/guardian should accompany the student. 

Absence
If a child is to be absent, parents should call the main office ((716) 897-7300) or email   JDevorchik@cheektowagasloan.org 

Notes Upon Return
A note is required for all absences. Students should submit notes to the main office. Notes can also be emailed to JDevorchik@cheektowagasloan.org If a student knows they will be absent in advance, a prearranged note should be submitted to the main office. 

Early Release
If a student needs to be dismissed early, a note should be submitted to the main office in the morning. If a student will be picked up early unexpectedly, please call and notify the main office ahead of time ((716) 897-7300).
